CENTIN/Futurizm of ORIC-UMT, collaborated with Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) and participated in “PHEC Innovation Expo 2022” on November 15, 2022 at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore. The main objective of this expo was to offer a platform for university teachers, students, FYPs & startups to showcase their projects/start-ups thus promoting innovation and entrepreneurship with a focus on product development and commercialization. Futurizm’s incubated startups i.e., “Achieve Nutrition” by Ms. Areeha Tahir and “Shaista Fitness” by Ms. Shaista Khalid participated in this competition under the guidance of the Director CENTIN, Mr. Muhammad Yasir Amjad and Deputy Manager Operations, CENTIN, Mr. Muhammad Farooq Anwar.

The expo provided a platform for industry-academia linkages, that intended to adopt the real-life problems solving approach and to address problems with the joint effort of industry and academia. UMT startups displayed their stalls and presented their products before the officials, evaluators, industry experts and other visitors. This was a great opportunity for the startups to interact and connect with the external stakeholders for their business development as well as professional networking.
