The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CENTIN)/Futurizm organized an immensely insightful
learning webinar entitled” Strategic Innovation in Startups and Organizations ” by Dr. Imran Zawwar
(Faculty Member at Cranfield School of Management, UK. The session was conducted online through
zoom on Friday, July 30, 2021, at 3pm. 
The webinar was moderated by the Director CENTIN, Mr. Muhammad Yasir Amjad. The speaker, Dr.
Imran Zawwar is a faculty member at Cranfield school of Management in UK and Regional Director for
Cranfield Executive Development Programs. He has led several executive development engagements
and contributes to business strategy, strategy in the digital context and innovation as part of his teaching,
research and consulting. He shared his insights on the importance of strategic Innovation in different
organizations. He discussed the case studies of world’s leading organizations like Netflix and Apple to
support his arguments. He enhanced the understanding of the audience about disruptive innovation and
further discussed incremental and disruptive approaches to innovation. This was an interactive session
and the audience was kept engaged throughout the session. The participants were encouraged to ask
queries and share their views with the speaker.
The speaker addressed all the questions very precisely. The Director CENTIN appreciated Dr. Imran’s
content and his teaching methodology, and further at the end, he concluded the session with a note of
thanks for all the participants and the organizing team. This webinar was aired live at CENTIN and UMT’s
social media pages. To incite and facilitate innovation, CENTIN/Futurizm would arrange such webinars in
future as well
