On July 12, 2024, representatives from CENTIN, the business facilitation center at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), visited the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) to engage in a collaborative meeting. The delegation from CENTIN included Dr. Muhammad Yasir Amjad, Director of CENTIN, and Mr. Muhammad Farooq Anwar, Deputy Manager Operations. The meeting took place with Mr. Ahmad Zafar, Project Director at the LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship (LCE).

During the meeting, the two parties explored potential avenues for collaboration between CENTIN and LCE, discussing various prospects for joint ventures and knowledge exchange. Dr. Yasir and Mr. Farooq were given a tour of LCE’s state-of-the-art labs and facilities, gaining insights into the innovative environment fostered at LUMS.

The discussion centered around drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize the collaboration, with both parties expressing interest in further discussions to finalize the details of this partnership. The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to continue exploring how their institutions can work together to enhance entrepreneurial opportunities for students.
