CENTIN/Futurizm organized a University Drive for “Fintech Hackathon 22” by National Incubation Center (NIC) Pakistan & Allied Bank Ltd (ABL) on September 07, 2022. The venue of this event was MC-03 UMT main campus, C-II Johar town, Lahore.

The session was conducted by the guests, Mr. Shayan Yar (Manager Investments and Partnerships, NIC Pakistan), Ms. Shalar Ali (Manager Communication and Research Focal Person, NIC Pakistan), Mr. Ali Kazmi (Divisional Head Open Banking, ABL) and Ms. Ameera Fayyaz (Manager Innovation Lab, ABL).

All the speakers, one by one, briefed about this upcoming mega entrepreneurial event and they motivated the students to participate in it. They shared that this was a great opportunity for the coders, UI/ UX Experts, or problem-solvers to get a chance to win PKR 2 million in prize money. They shared that top 10 teams would pitch at the Innovation Challenge which would be conducted on September 23, 2022, from which shortlisted top 6 teams would compete in the Grand Finale for the cash prize. They explained the thematic areas, registration process, evaluation and selection criteria of this upcoming event, in detail. All the queries of participants were also addressed during the session.

At the end of the session, “FinTech Hackathon 2022” giveaways were distributed among the students participating in the session. Moreover, the souvenirs were presented by the Director CENTIN-UMT, Mr. Muhammad Yasir Amjad to the guests as a token of appreciation and the session was pleasantly ended.
