Futurizm-AI Powered Tech incubator of UMT organized a virtual awareness webinar on “AI Business Transformation” which was held on September 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. The webinar was aired live on CENTIN & UMT social media platforms. The session aimed to discuss the possibilities and facilitation UMT provided to transform ideas into an AI-based business reality through our newly launched Futurizm-AI Powered Tech Incubator.

The launch of this first-of-its-kind, AI-powered tech Incubator, and the awareness webinar gained immense response from the relevant faculty and students. Dr. Muhammad Yasir Amjad, Director CENTIN, UMT, and Dr. Ammar Aftab Raja from HSM, UMT presented the whole idea of this incubator to respective audiences and faculty members. The areas covered by both the presenters included the growing industry of artificial intelligence and its future impact on society. Dr. Yasir explained various startup streams as well as the current trends in Artificial Intelligence. He also highlighted the emerging areas of AI-based startups in Pakistan and the process of applications for incubating startups. Dr. Ammar on the other hand explained the technical resource requirement for an AI-powered tech incubator. He also talked about the support and assistance the management is willing to provide to build a community for AI-based startups.

Dr. Atif Alvi, Acting Dean, the School of Systems and Technology, UMT, also participated in this insightful webinar. He shared his valuable suggestions and offered the assistance of his faculty members and departments for mentorship purposes. In the end, Dr. Yasir and Dr. Ammar addressed the queries of the participants and concluded the webinar on a positive note.
