Five days entrepreneurial training Bootcamp entitled “Pakistan 100-Cohort II Entrepreneurial Bootcamp 2021”, was organized at UMT main campus Lahore by Futurizm, the Business Incubation Center of UMT and Ideagist Pakistan. The bootcamp aimed to educate the young Entrepreneurs for their potential business startups. The camp provided an insight of needed elements of market drivers for the young startups. The trainers and guest speakers conducted highly informative and productive sessions on different topics such as: GAP Analysis, Anatomy of Problem Statement, How to Pitch Ideas, Set KPI and Goals (SUS 2019), Customer and Value Proposition, Lean Canvas, Cyber Threats, Cyberattacks, Understanding of Pitch Decks, Customer Acquisition and Sequoia Model. The audience comprised of thirty-five (35) internal and external participants who were highly passionate and enthusiastic to get a bundle of knowledge and guidance for their startups. We appreciate their positive and respectful attitude and hope for arranging such productive training sessions ahead. 

The camp was moderated by Mr. Yasir Amjad, Manager Futurizm and Mr. Hasan Syed, Founder Ideagist. Following guest speakers and area experts joined the bootcamp to enlighten the audience with their ideas and experiences:

  2. Col. Shawaz Baluch, Social Entrepreneur and Motivational Speaker
  3. Mr. Rafeeq Rehman, Cybersecurity Professional
  4. Mr. Muhammad Anwar Khan, Entrepreneur and FinTech Expert
  5. Mr. Shahnawaz Chugtai, Serial Entrepreneur and Branding Portfolio Management Expert

The participants from diverse backgrounds found an opportunity to relate and apply delivered concepts through live interactions, round table discussions, hands on practice, and exercises. It offered them a chance to rethink their theoretical business models for re-invention, wherever they found it necessary. Because of constructive and productive criticism, they found out many loopholes in their startups and discussed possible reforms with the mentors around.

The bootcamp was concluded on September 3, 2021 where D.G UMT and Director ORIC, Mr. Abid H. K. Shirwani honored the occasion with his gracious presence. He briefed the audience about the relentless efforts of UMT in the promotion of Entrepreneurship and subsequent role of Futurizm/CENTIN. He also recognized the valuable role of Ideagist for subject bootcamp. He ignited the ambitions of the young startups with his enthusiastic speech while relating it to the independence of Pakistan. The ceremony was then concluded with certificate distribution amongst participants of the camp.
